Full-Stack Development
POS & Inventory System
The POS & Inventory System was developed to provide businesses with a centralized platform for managing day-to-day sales and inventory operations. The system connects products, purchasing, goods receiving, stock movements, and sales into a single workflow, reducing the need for disconnected spreadsheets and manual processes.

The challenge
Managing inventory manually can make it difficult to maintain accurate stock levels and understand how products move through a business. Purchase orders, received quantities, stock adjustments, and sales need to remain synchronized while different users require different levels of access.
The approach
- 01
Built a React-based frontend with reusable components and a responsive interface for daily business operations.
- 02
Developed a Flask REST API to handle authentication, products, purchasing, inventory, and sales workflows.
- 03
Designed a MySQL database with SQLAlchemy to maintain structured relationships between products, purchase orders, stock movements, and transactions.
- 04
Implemented purchase order and goods-receiving workflows with validation to prevent incorrect or excessive stock receipts.
- 05
Created an inventory movement system that records stock changes and provides a clear history of how quantities move through the business.
- 06
Implemented role-based authentication and authorization so users can access only the operations relevant to their responsibilities.
- 07
Designed the application as a single repository containing both the React frontend and Flask backend for easier development and deployment.
The outcome
The system provides a unified workflow for managing sales and inventory operations. Stock movements are recorded systematically, purchasing and receiving are connected to inventory, and users can manage daily POS operations through a centralized application.
