Afterlight

A lighting collection made from reclaimed material needed a launch film that felt like dusk rather than a product reel — one long exhale instead of forty cuts.

The challenge

The fixtures only look remarkable in the fifteen minutes after sunset, and the collection had to be shot across four locations in a single week without a lighting truck.

The approach

  1. 01

Scouted every location for its own golden hour and built the schedule backwards from the light.

  2. 02

Shot on two bodies with a fixed three-lens kit so setups stayed under four minutes.

  3. 03

Graded to a single warm filmic curve applied across all four locations for continuity.

  4. 04

Cut a 90-second hero film plus nine vertical variants from the same negative.

The outcome

The film opened the campaign across paid social, retail displays, and the brand's own site, reaching 1.2 million views over six weeks. The vertical cuts carried the second and third campaign phases with no additional shoot.
